I am using mine for a ZFS file server and wanted a board that handled ECC RAM, has PCIE 16x slots for expansion, had plenty of SATA headers, and could take M.2 drives. Hopefully a solution is forthcoming because the board has a lot of nice specifications for demanding applications.
